Engineer Bio:
Dewayne Fender has been a county engineer in Illinois since 2006 and currently serves as the Warren County Engineer. From 1991-2006 he worked as an Associate Design Engineer for private consultants in the Quad Cities. He taught courses in steel, concrete, soil mechanics and hydraulics as an Associate Professor of Civil Technology at Blackhawk College in Moline from 1993-2005. He earned his M.S. in Materials/Structures in 1991 from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois. He also holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign and a B.S. in Physics from Western Illinois University in Macomb.
