Engineer Bio:
Tom is the County Engineer for Menard County and has served in that capacity since September 1996. He received his B.S.C.E. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a licensed P.E. & S.E. in Illinois. Prior to working at Menard County, he worked for Casson Engineering Co. for 13 years, Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. for 2 years, and the IDOT Bureau of Bridges and Structures for almost 3 years. He retired from the Illinois Air National Guard after 31 years of service.

Established on February 15, 1839, Menard County was for many years a part of Sangamon County. The County is named after Pierre Menard, a pioneer Indian trader, Colonel of Territorial militia, and first Lieutenant Governor of the State.
