Engineer Bio:
Lawrence Kinzer received his degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1977. After graduation Larry worked for the LaSalle County Highway Department for a period of eleven years before leaving for the private sector where he worked as an engineer and surveyor for a civil consulting firm and heavy and highway construction contractors. He holds licenses in Illinois for engineering and land surveying. Larry rejoined LaSalle County in 1999 as County Engineer.

Established on January 15, 1831, LaSalle County is named after Robert de LaSalle, the French explorer who effected the first white settlements in Illinois and explored the Mississippi to the Gulf.
